Services

VSTI offers services in the core areas of software engineering, systems engineering, management consulting, and technology integration. Government customers can procure VSTI services through a number of existing contract vehicles including our GSA schedule (GS-35F-0708N) and Navy Seaport-E (N00178-07-D-5298) contract vehicles. During the last decade, VSTI has gained expertise by providing intelligence community programs with services in the areas of service-oriented architecture (SOA) development, informatics, enterprise information integration (EII), federated search, advanced analytics, early-event detection (EED) and complex event processing (CEP), very large database (VLDB) design and high-volume ingest, customer relationship management (CRM) and information visualization.

Flexibility is often helpful to our customers, so we typically offer our services in one of the following formats:

  1. Service Engagement Contract - a negotiated contract to provide a full-time project team to engineer a solution based on customer-defined requirements.
  2. Staff Augmentation - a negotiated contract for services where VSTI full-time technical staff augments the existing project staff for a customer to engineer a solution based on customer-defined requirements.
  3. Technical Consultation - a contract for services where senior technical staff from our Technology Consulting Group (TCG) provides hourly based technical support to assist clients with complex technical challenges or to meet short delivery cycles.
  4. Prototype Research - a contract that requires technical research that is conducted in our Advanced Solutions Lab to produce a proof-of-concept, benchmark test, or research study.
